Karim Ghorab

Counsel

Karim is a Senior Associate in our arbitration team. He specializes in international arbitration, commercial and projects. He represented Vodafone in a landmark settlement between all mobile operators. He has also acted for Benya Capital in a project to building a fiber optic network in DRC.  He prepares legal assessments and reports on complex disputes in various industries and practices such as banking, international trade, cement, tourism, sports, and oil & gas. Where he advised on a landmark reverse-flow project of natural gas via EMG’s subsea pipeline.

He represented the president of the Egyptian, Arab and African Federation of Body Building before the CAS as well as an Egyptian Agriculture company before the GAFTA. He has represented many clients in other arbitral institutions. He also issues day to day business opinions and advice in relation to different laws such as civil commercial, investment, corporate, corporate criminal, labor, tax, and banking to name a few.

He holds a double Bachelor of Laws, one from Cairo University and the other from Université Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. He has also earned his master’s degree in international and European Business Law. Karim is well versed to carry out proceedings in Arabic, English, and French.

Karim is an associate member at the Chartered Institute of Arbitration in London and is certified by the CRCICA as completing the program of the comparative commercial arbitration in theory and practice.
